Dave Pate joined 3H in January 2021 as a trustee.
A former Chief Inspector with Kent Police, Dave brings thirty years of experience, much of which was working with professional partners including the charity sector.
He was chair of the Community Safety Partnership in the borough of Tunbridge Wells and chaired the first Local Children’s Services Partnership in the Malling area of Kent.
As a senior police officer, he delivered a number of initiatives, including the development of a Public Health Summit on Substance Misuse, full command of Operation Stack (strategic road gridlock) and Severe Weather multi agency response in Kent, and the policing of the Archbishop’s Enthronement in Canterbury in 2013.
Prior to promotion, Dave was a dog handler for many years and worked in the Speldhurst area. Dave recently worked at St Paul’s Cathedral as their safeguarding coordinator.
Having grown up in Whitstable, Dave moved to Tunbridge Wells in 1988 before settling in Speldhurst with his family in 2016. He enjoys time with his three dogs and is involved in dog training with a local company.
